Adventure in the Al Khatim desert, U.A.E.​

Last of the the Arabian summer days of 2021 we managed to get out into the desert and get amongst the amazing dunes and even see some wildlife with the camels and elusive Arabian red desert fox (Vulpes vulpes arabica) a subspecies of the common red fox native to the Arabian Peninsula, 

We absolutely love the desert and located 82km from Al Ain, 78km from Abu Dhabi is the Al Khatim Desert.  This is a beautiful area with stunning, quiet,  rolling landscapes.  The vast openness of the desert, one can feel very small, even insignificant.  The splendour of the shifting sands, along with a slow growth of ghaf trees this is an amazing location to do off-road, camp, sand-boarding, and have an amazing adventure.
