For our adventures we use a variety of gear which we carefully research, test, review, tweak and upgrade, test again, then recommend or tell you truthy what we think! When you need to ‘Go anywhere and do anything’ we drive our Jeep Wrangler ‘Willys’ Edition 2020 and pull the epic Rambler E1 trailer from GORAMBLER which we have upgraded and currently work with to develop the next generation E2.

EQUIPMENT and ENGINEERING

Power, Water & Fuel

Power, fuel and water are essential and this is how we ensure we manage all. Our Domestic power set up in the Rambler Trailer is the Renogy We have a full Renogy 12V 270Ah of smart Lithium Iron Phosphate LiFePO4 Batteries that last over 4000 cycles and 10 year lifespan. BMS system with dual-processors, 20+ warning and protections, UL94VO flammability rating and Works with the BT-2 Bluetooth module for real-time monitoring. Powered through 2 Compact Design, 100 Watt 12 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panels. Per panel there are 36 cells, 22% efficiency, IP65 waterproof junction box and IP67 solar connectors. Utilizing the smart 3-in-1 energy monitor DCC50S 12V 50A DC-DC On-Board Battery Charger with MPPT and the BT-2 Bluetooth Module . A 2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter with an efficiency exceeding 90% with a peak surge of 4000W.

For filtering we use the GUZZLE H2O Overland Bundle which includes the Guzzle H2O STREEM to pump, filter and purify water going into our trailer tanks and the Carbon Block Filtration + LED UV-C Purification Guzzle H2O Stealth 5 as a point-of-use water purification and filtration system from tank to tap. A max flow rate of 2.1 gallons (8L) per minute, minimal 3-5 psi pressure drop, it has proven LED UV-C purification unit tested to inactivate 99.99% of bacterial, protozoa, and viruses and is NSF 55 listed. A 0.5 micron Activated Carbon Block filtration is highly effective at reducing sediment, chlorine taste and odor, VOCs, NSF 41 emerging contaminants, lead, mercury, and other chemical contaminants. A 12V DC powered pump, it only draws 0.9amps when active it only measures 11.3″ H x 8.4″ D x 4.7″ W.
